The Olokun Festival is the Orisha Festival of the Ocean, in which man’s indispensable link and connectivity to the force of the ocean is celebrated. Nos ocasiona gran tristeza la pérdida de Tita Rodríguez, Adé Ekún, quien falleció en Miami ayer, 4 de febrero. Tita—quien me conoció a mí prácticamente desde que era un niño en New York—me asistió con la dirección del Cabildo Yoruba en los años 80 en esta ciudad y fue un baluarte muy importante para la organización. Era una luchadora incansable, audaz, determinada, y en más de una ocasión hasta obstinada, especialmente cuando se trataba de defender una causa en la cual ella creía.
