Eriwo Ya,

I am writing this letter on behalf of all the elders of Ifa and Orisa in the region of Ogun State, Abeokuta including to Ika Land, Gbagura to inform that Enrique De La Torre also known online as, “Chief Oluwo within Ifa and Ogboni” with the corresponding name of Ifabiyi has been denounced as the obtainment of any Oloye title within Ifa and/or Orisa within the region of Abeokuta, Ogun State by the supreme members of council pertaining to Ifa and Orisa within the holy land of Abeokuta.

Enrique De La Torre was the recipient of the title pertaining to Ifa known as The Chief Oloye Tedimole Awo Ilare of Abeokuta recent years ago. He was given this title to aid in the awareness and practice of Traditional indigenous Ifa and Orisa practices as it is done within Abeokuta following the strict practices of their fore fathers. Enrique De La Torre has failed to meet this request and responsibility. It has been brought to the attention of the board and council of Ifa and Orisa within Abeokuta that Enrique De La Torre has not been able to meet the requirements of such honor and title.

The elders of Abeokuta which would include the H.R.H Oba Edu of Ile Ife who is as well the Araba of Abeokuta have been brought to the attention of recent and old fraudulent practices relating them to be authentic under the practice of Abeokuta reaching the conclusion that these practices were done without consent, authorization or realization of any authority of Ifa and Orisa in Abeokuta. It is now stated by these elders that Enrique De La Torre also known as Ifabiyi has been denounced of his titles of Oloye (Tedimole Awo Ilare) due to his practices, and actions against authentic practices of Abeokuta within indigenous Traditional Ifa and Orisa.

Enrique De La Torre (Ifabiyi) has been known to use his title as a form of marketing to gain clients and/or godchildren of Ifa and Orisa assuring them that he is practicing authentic Ifa and Orisa as it is done in Abeokuta where the elders state “he is doing so without their authorization as well training to assure such practices or teachings to be true.” Enrique De La Torre is no longer considered the Tedimole Awo Ilare of Abeokuta. He is from this point on to cease and desist from such use and relation of this title or affiliation in Ifa and Orisa to Abeokuta or its elders. Enrique De La Torre is advised to contact H.R.H. Oba Edu the Araba of Abeokuta directly if he would like to dispute these allegations which have been brought by various individuals against him.

Enrique De La Torre has been known to initiate people into various areas of traditional Ifa and Orisa in which such practices fail to meet authentic training and procedure. Enrique De La Torre has given such Orisa as Obaluaye, Olokun, Aje Shaluga, Isefa (one hand of Ifa), Igba Odu, and other Orisa to name a few claiming all to be done within either the form and practice of Ode Remo under the tutorial of late Afolabi, Epega author of The Sacred Ifa Oracle as well known by the elders of Abeokuta. Both sources are denied to be authentic and I am here only to address the authenticity of such from Abeokuta and relating elders of Ifa and Orisa. We bring this to the Ifa and Orisa community world-wide to assure that these violations against our faith are avoided and stopped. Escribo esta carta en nombre de todos los mayores de Ifá y Orisa, en la región del Estado de Ogun, Abeokuta, incluyendo Ikaland, Gbagura, para informar que Enrique De La Torre también conocido en el Internet como, “Chief Oluwo within Ifá y Ogboni (Jefe Oluwo dentro de Ifá y la sociedad Ogboni)”, con el nombre correspondiente de Ifabiyi, ha sido denunciado y prohibido de cualquier título de “Oloye” dentro de Ifá y/o Orisa en la región de Abeokuta, Estado de Ogun, por los miembros del consejo supremo relacionados con Ifá y Orisa en la tierra sagrada de Abeokuta.

A Enrique De La Torre se le entregó el título relativa a Ifá conocido como, “Chief Oloye Tedimole Awo Ilare de Abeokuta”, hace los últimos años. Se le entregó este título para que él ayudara en la toma de conciencia sobre la práctica tradicional de Ifá indígena y las prácticas Orisa como se hacen en Abeokuta, donde aún siguen las prácticas estrictas de sus antepasados. Enrique De La Torre no ha cumplido con esta petición y responsabilidad. Ha llegado a la atención de la junta y el consejo de Ifá y Orisa en Abeokuta que Enrique De La Torre no ha sido capaz de cumplir con los requisitos de un título tan honorable.

Los mayores de Abeokuta, que incluyen a S.A.R. Oba Edu de Ile Ife, que es también el Araba de Abeokuta, se han puesto en conocimiento de ciertas prácticas fraudulentas recientes y antiguas, que se han hecho pasar por auténticas bajo la práctica de Abeokuta. Es desde este punto donde se le urge que él abandone y desista el uso y relación de este título o la afiliación de Ifá y Orisa de Abeokuta o de sus mayores. Se recomienda que Enrique De La Torre se pongan en contacto con S.A.R. Oba Edu el Araba de Abeokuta directamente si le gustaría disputar estas denuncias que se han interpuesto por varios individuos en su contra.

Se sabe de que Enrique De La Torre ha iniciado a personas en diversas áreas tradicionales de Ifá y Orisa, en que tales prácticas no cumplen con la formación auténtica y procedimiento tradicional de Ifá/Orisa . Enrique De La Torre ha entregado Orisas como: Obaluaye, Olokun, Aje Shaluga, Isefa (una mano de Ifá), Igba Odu, y otros Orisas para nombrar algunos, que según el afirma que todos se han realizado en la forma y estilo de Ode Remo bajo en la tutoría del honorable difunto Afolabi Epega quien Enrique dice tambien era un mayor o Baba de el (el autor de: El Oráculo Sagrado de Ifá), y tambien por los mayores de Abeokuta. Ambas fuentes se negaron a ser auténticos y estoy aquí sólo para hacer frente a la autenticidad de tales de Abeokuta y de todos los mayores relacionados con Ifá y Orisa. Traemos esto a la comunidad mundial de Ifa y Orisa para asegurar que estas violaciones en contra de nuestra practica se eviten y se detengan. Animamos a cualquier persona a quien le gustaría seguir haciendo frente a estos temas de importancia, que por favor lo hagan adecuadamente junto a los mayores de Abeokuta.
